The third lesson: Put it away ASAP.  (This is probably the hardest, and most essential, part of using up your CSA produce.)  Clear out a section of your fridge, get some designated containers, wash everything, trim off the tops, and chop the greens.  If your produce is ready to go, you’ll be much more inclined to pull it out and use it.  Just develop a routine and stick to it, it really will save you work in the long run.  At the end of the week I like to toss the leftover veggies into single serving containers and pop them into the freezer – homemade stir fry just got easier!

Tip: I especially like these containers.  They keep washed greens fresh and crispy for over a week, because they stay hydrated while being held up above any actual standing water by the little insert.  Carrots, cucumbers, melons, and green onions do really well in these too.  I discovered them last year and they are extremely handy.
