Beanless Vegetable Chili

July 28, 2013

The title of this post alone might be enough to send some die-hard chili fans into apoplectic fits. Not only is this chili meatless, it doesn’t even contain beans. You might find yourself wondering why I would even make a chili excluding the two most common ingredients – it’s simple. Sometimes you just have things […]

CSA Week Two

July 10, 2013

2

This week brought more delicious veggies, plus the first of many cabbages. I always struggle to use up cabbages… Some of the produce made it into breakfast this morning too. Spinach ended up in an omelet, and some fresh basil added an aromatic finish to balsamic drizzled apple slices.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, so you’re getting two weeks of CSA photos and a tip on what to do with your produce all in one post.  Sometimes it’s a choice between cooking the produce and writing about it.  My stomach wins that argument every time…  Here you go: The fourth lesson: Try […]

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a recipe, but I haven’t wanted to cook very much given the ridiculous temperatures.  Still, I had a container of delicious raspberries sitting in the fridge from the week’s CSA share, and I wasn’t just going to let them go to waste.  The hemp seeds* were a great way […]
